Tax season, Again?

Have you started tax preparation for the 2008 tax year? April 15th is fast approaching... Gathering all of the forms and documentation required by the IRS now may be last-minute if you have a complicated financial life. With the big drops in the stock market, many will be reporting losses from asset sales. Don't underestimate the work it will take to match up all the purchase & sales if you have a brokerage account. Your broker or mutual fund company should have provided you a Form 1099-B.
Prices are rising and making it difficult to pay for food, gas and utilities. Recession, stagflation or an economic depression? Regardless, many "working class" people are responding to these challenging times by cutting luxuries and delaying major purchases and travel.
It is that time of year when responsible citizens provide for that discretionary budget that is spent by our elected representatives to run this experiment in federalism.
"A pyramid unfinished." Some conspiracy theorists believe that "the all seeing eye" atop the pyramid as seen in the "Great Seal of the United States" is a Masonic symbol. The 'Eye of Providence' (in a triangle) and the pyramid are found separately in ritual. But the combination of Eye and pyramid is not significant outside of the Seal.
